Personal data processing policy
This policy explains what data we keep about you, what we use it for, for how long, and what you can do about it. It’s written to be understood, and it complies with Ley 1581 de 2012 (Colombia’s personal data protection law) and Decreto 1074 de 2015 (its implementing decree).
1. Who is responsible for your data
Melanie Belte, a natural person domiciled at Carrera 7a #94a-08, Bogotá, Colombia, is the controller responsible for the processing of your personal data.
- Email for personal data matters: [email protected]
2. What data we collect
Only what you give us, when you decide to give it to us:
- Name and email address, when you subscribe, ask for your quiz result, or sign up for a masterclass.
- Your archetype test result: the archetype you got and how your answers were distributed. We don’t keep anything you didn’t answer yourself.
- Purchase data, if you buy: what you bought, how much you paid, and the billing and shipping details the transaction needs. Your card details are processed by the payment gateway; we never see or store them.
We don’t ask for sensitive data (health, ethnic origin, beliefs, biometric data) and we don’t direct this site to minors.
3. What we use it for
- Sending you your test result and the content you asked for.
- Writing to you about services, masterclasses, and content from The Closet Project.
- Answering your questions and managing your purchases.
- Understanding, in aggregate, which content is useful, so we can write better.
We don’t sell your data or transfer it to third parties so they can sell you things.
4. Your authorization
Your data goes onto our lists only if you checked the authorization box on the form. That box is never pre-checked, and we keep a record of the date and time you checked it.
You can withdraw your authorization whenever you want: there is an unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email, or write to us at [email protected] and we’ll do it for you.
5. Your rights
As the owner of your data, the law gives you the right to:
- Find out what data we hold about you and how we use it, free of charge.
- Update or correct it if it is wrong or incomplete.
- Ask us to delete it, unless there is a legal duty to keep it.
- Revoke the authorization you gave us.
- Ask for proof of the authorization you gave us.
- File a complaint with the Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio (Colombia’s Superintendence of Industry and Commerce) if you believe we are not complying.
6. How to exercise them
Write to us at [email protected] from the email address you signed up with, telling us what you need. We meet the deadlines set by law:
- Inquiries (what data you hold about me): we reply within 10 business days at most. If we can’t make it in time, we tell you why and take up to 5 more business days.
- Claims (to correct, delete, or revoke): we reply within 15 business days at most. If we can’t make it in time, we tell you why and take up to 8 more business days.
7. Who else handles your data
To run the site and the store we use providers who process data on our behalf, under their own security commitments:
- Shopify — store, payments, and customer database. Servers outside Colombia.
- Cloudflare — site hosting. Servers outside Colombia.
- The payment gateway that processes the charge at the time of your purchase. You’ll see its name during payment.
This involves an international data transfer: by authorizing the processing, you authorize your data to be stored on servers outside Colombia under equivalent security standards.
8. How long we keep it
For as long as it makes sense for what we promised you and you haven’t asked otherwise. If you revoke your authorization, we remove you from our mailing lists right away. Data associated with a purchase is kept for as long as Colombian accounting and tax obligations require.
9. Cookies
This site does not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking cookies. If you use the ES · EN language switch, the site saves a functional cookie called “lang” (with the value “es” or “en”) in your browser for one year, only to remember your language. The checkout process, which takes place on Shopify, uses the cookies needed for your cart and your purchase to work.
10. Changes
If we change this policy, we publish the new version here with its date. If the change substantially affects how we use your data, we let you know by email.
This policy is in effect as of September 17, 2026. The databases where your data is processed have an indefinite term, for as long as the purposes described above are maintained.
